Geoff Buckle is a landscape and still life artist now based in the beautiful Blue Mountains, previously having lived in Sydney's Northern Beaches. He spent much of his early childhood sailing with his father as members of the Royal Sydney Yacht squadron. Geoff grew to love Sydney's picturesque harbour and beaches.
Receiving mentoring and tutelage from established artists like Clarence Parker (of Parker Galleries) and Andrew Schlecht (of the Max Meldrum Tonal School of Painting) gave Geoff the encouragement and skills to pursue his passion for painting from a young age.
In his more than 50 years of painting, Geoff has worked with many well known and respected Australian impressionist artists including John Santry, James Wynne and more recently John Wilson and Warwick Fuller in the Blue Mountains. He has held two solo exhibitions and is an exhibiting member of the Kur-ring-gai Art Society where he received "First Prize in Oils", "Best in Show" in the 48th Annual Awards Exhibition and "Highly Commended for Oils" in 2017.
Having developed his own unique impressionist style, painting the ocean and the countryside remains a constant passion for Geoff. This is evident in his work. Geoff continues to produce inspirational paintings whether outdoors plein air or inside his studio at Katoomba.
All works are produced using the highest quality professional paints and materials.
